A Tale of 3 Cities, Or how the Olympics Transformed Asia

As a long time resident of Asia, I have had a commanding front row view of both the effects and after-effects of being awarded the coveted berth of hosting the prestigious “Games” has had on each of its oriental hosting nations, not quite as far back as 1964, mind you, but every one since. I do, however, recall my initial impression of the very first Honda sub-compact tin can I saw cowering in the teachers' parking lot of Paradise Elementary School round about that same time frame.
